Buffer Tank Sensor
I'm not fond of this sensor wire hanging loosely over this buffer tank. Any better ideas on how to reach the tank temperature port? On my last tank you could snake the wire between the outer jacket and the insulation. But this tank uses hard, closed-cell polyurethane foam behind the jacket.

You still want to use the well, but hide the wire?
That blue top will probably lift up. Then get a piece of 1/4" rod and shove it down between the jacket and foam. The foam doesn't usually stick to the plastic jacked so it should slide down.
Here is what those thermistor sensors look like if you cut one open. The actual sensor is at the very tip, surrounded in heat transfer grease. So if you can get the tip against the metal tank, it will read the same as in the well. Tekmar and others have always used strap on sensors with a well.
If you get the sensor down to the well and do not want it coming out to enter the well, just shove it in until it touches metal. The reading on the control will tell you is it is reading the same as when you pull it from the well.
Depends on how creative you want to get.

1/2 sealtight going to a handy box or use 1/2 emt and get the wire close. You can use one hole straps to secure the sealtight or conduit using 1/2 screws into the foam.
