How do I fix a Viessmann Dekamatik HK1 blank screen

    Does it otherwise work correctly, or 100% dead ?

    Is the power on? Is it plugged in? Is there a loose cable from the control to the display?

    After you make that expensive repair and you still have the same problem, What will you check next?

    If 100% dead, check to see if the building power is getting to the unit. There are also fuses that can be checked if you can. When checking fuses, verify the building power has been turned off to the unit.

    Although I didn't find anything in the Troubleshooting section about a blank display.

    If the unit has good building power to it and all the fuses are good I would suspect the internal Low Voltage power supply has failed, disabling the display and all logic and electronics.

    If the unit works OK and just the display is blank, the display or the electronics that controls the display has probably failed.

    Sadly in either case it maybe as simple as a failed solder joint.
