Heat Pump Rebates
Went to my "Gas CODE UPDATE Class" today.
I ran into a former co-worker. We both worked together for a contractor with a large shop 18 roof top units. All the RTUs are gas heat with AC and all but 5 on an addition were 30-40 years old Trane units. The HXs started giving out years ago so had (about) 14 years ago installed gas fired radiant in the shop area while the RTUs were kept running for cooling.
They got rebates to replace the RTUs with HPs. Apparently, the rebates pretty much covered the cost of the new equipment.
