    I always like that story.

Probably because Starbuck's was just up the road from me about 45 miles or so.

I'm not sure where to post this but I ran across an old Cast Iron catalog from 1899, from James B. Clow & Sons. Takes a while to download at 570 scanned pages. @HeatingHelp If it isn't in some archives here already maybe it should be moved to appropriate place:

Doug retired years ago and sold the property. He moved to Connecticut. No one but the scrap dealer was interested in the inventory. That’s why I wrote it all down way back when. Stories live longer than all of us. Thanks, Doug, and thank you, Dear Reader. Share it with others.

    Retired and loving it.

Dan, Thank you for this story. I recently finished reading Steam and Hot Water Heating by RM Starbuck, Sixteenth Edition. I found it at a flea market store in an old brass factory in Torrington CT. My wife had asked me to take her flea marketing, and I was thinking of you as I was going through this markets books.

What a lovely story. That place sure sounds magical, I'd be like a kid in a candy shop wanting a little bit of everything.
