Steam boiler with tankless coil

My previous hot water tank was a storage tank with an aquastat, storing water from the tankless coil in my single pipe oil fired steam boiler. My question is, can I use this coil to heat the heat exchanger in an indirect water heater or must I discontinue the coil and tap the boiler to heat the exchanger ? The previous unit was similar to an HTP model 50, the replacement in question is an HTP SSU-45

Using 2 heat exchangers isn't a good idea. You can do it and it will work fine but you would need an additional circulator, expansion tank water feed valve and relief valve. Extra $$$$$.
You can use an indirect using boiler water through the indirect coil or use an aqua booster tank which is a tank heated by a tankless coil which you now have.
