This boiler was installed this summer so not even a whole heating season yet it has very loud intake. We had the installer put in a Lochinvar intake silencer helped a bit. Probably not related but then it started leaking at the bottom of the condensate drain and has been replaced twice

Can you take some pics showing the whole install? twice leaking condensate trap seems suspect. While it may not seem obvious the condensate drain and venting are related, both are open pathways to the fire side of the heat exchanger.

It did happen immediatly after Silencer install

I hope we can keep the silencer.

  • I once had a spider web clog a Lochinvar drain just where it went into the condensate pump. It backed up and came out the overflow port on the trap.

Nice, clean installation. Pipes should be insulated.
