Oil tank is now 56 years old. How long will it last?
The metal plate on top says: "Underwriters Laboratories, Inc" "Inside Oil Tank" "Metal No Gage no F?" I took a picture of the plate tonight. No signs of this tank wearing out.
I took a picture of the metal plate on the very top. My house was built in 1969 there abouts. The take is 66 years old and still no sign of damage. I have my system checked and serviced yearly. I looked over it myself even.

I have this tank inspected yearly. I've been in this house 40 years.

Inspected how, visual? The outside of a 54 year old tank (or there abouts), could look great. The inside could be terrible. Has the oil line from the tank to the burner ever been replaced?
