What type of steam system do I have?
Posting a picture of a typical radiator in my house. It has pipes on both ends and a steam vent as well. Is this a single pipe or a 2 pipe system?

we need to see what's happening in the basement. it could be 2 pipe air vent or it could be various forms of knuckleheading.

I’ll post a picture of the basement shortly. There are 2 main vents in the basement from what I can see. There are about 20 radiators in the house and they all have this exact configuration in the picture I posted earlier.

It’s about 113 yrs old and has always had steam heat from what I can tell. The boiler was replaced about 10 yrs ago by the previous owner.
