Found this near an old heat exchanger at the highest point in the building. 2p originally coal fired. Clearly a vent and I'm aware of coal burners with vac vents to produce steam below 212F. Is that what this is? I don't see how it sealed against steam though. Weighs a ton.

You can Google them. Canadien Company. Looks like they make some type of fluid handling equipment.

That would make sense since there were no main air vents on the system in the coal era.
