Is Outdoor Reset applicable to gas fired HVAC System?

in Gas Heating
I am a homeowner in Central CT. Just had new gas fired HVAC System installed. I do not understand ODR — is it only applicable to Hydronic systems?

You mean gas forced air vs gas hot water? There are modulating gas forced air furnaces. I think they modulate based on integrated thermostats that have some algorithm that guesses the firing rate based on room temp vs setpoint and how fast the t-stat is approaching setpoint.
