Slant fin oil boiler
hello
Our boiler has been turning on then stopping after a minute or so it stop turn on again stop then turns on again and goes through a full cycle. We have not turned the heat on yet just heating hot water.
After much debate last year on removing this whole system we went ahead with repairing it. Replaced the heat coil and was running fine. This is our secondary heat source as we primarily use pellet stove.
could the boiler just need a reset, we did have a power outage a few weeks ago. Is it a filter that needs to be replaced? Is it air? It was serviced last fall and we are due for service again in November or is it something worse. My heart can’t even hear bad news because we already dumped so much money into this system. I’ll attach some pictures of what I see. Obviously, none of the zone lights turn on because none of the thermostats have been turned on yet.
Thank you
I will add it was running fine all summer when it would turn water. This has been basically the last two weeks since we had that little power outage due to a neighborhood car crash.

Does that light next to the reset button flash when the boiler short cycles ?
There was an error rendering this rich post.

hi
So we tried turning one of the zones on and it won’t kick on at all….. leading us to believe it’s a filter maybe that’s clogged? We have a call out for service 🤞it’s not anything major again!
