Taco 007e circulator and Webstone isolator flanges which gasket?

Hi all and thanks in advance for any and all help. I have looked around on the discussions here about flat gaskets vs the square "O-ring" gaskets but haven't found a clear answer — at least to my understanding. So, with the current Taco 00 circulators and the current Webstone Isolator flanges with rotating ring which gasket works best? The square "O-ring" provided by Taco or the flat gasket provided by Webstone? Thanks again!!

The former. There is a square depression in the Taco pump flange to accept the their square gaskets.

Sometimes I find that the center flat of adjustable flanges don't line up so well with O-ring gaskets. Then I would use the Webstone gaskets. Otherwise I agree with Alan

That circ uses a large diameter square o ring, in some cases it does not seal on the flange face

Some installers use both the o ring and flat gasket, others just the flat gasket

It really depends in the specific flange design.

Ive found swivel flanges work best with the flat gasket

Taco recommendation is use square cross sectional O-ring. I can remember when some installers doubled up using both the oring, and flat gaskets, but that’s not recommended
