I like the new o-ring seals vs. fiber washers.

Pretty much everything is o rings now-boiler feed/bfp, mixing valves, etc.

i hate those fiber gaskets, i especially hated them when i had to cut one out of sheet gasket because i had to break the union and couldn't get the old one to seal and I didn't have a spare.

Wait until you have to make your own o-ring. You'll miss the fiber gasket

Does any supplier make a multi zone manifold like block? Or is every zone valve sold as individual?

I've got some Calleffi's running low pressure steam and have been quite reliable ( they make a higher temperature rated valve than the standard hot water models). Much more reliable than the outrageously priced multi piece commercial Honeywell zone valves on the same system that now, after being repaired twice over the same number of years, are getting replaced (with Johnson controls valves, Calleffi's can't handle larger steam loads).

you can assemble an o ring kit for spares. Spare o ring part numbers are in the catalog

This kit, 12 o rings covers everything from 1/2- 2”
