I loved my Honetwell AQ25142B boiler control, but the brains are fried and it is discontinued…

it featured outdoor reset, communicating thermostats so the control unit knew what temp was in the room calling for heat and how much you wanted it raised to figure a target temp for the boiler. It also learned how each zone would heat up in order to adjust the algorythym. It had DHW priority and override as well as another heat demand priority separate from the living space thermometers. Ie a spa or such. I used it for my garage zone…. Zone of greatest demand, zone synchronization and boiler post purge.

i loved these so much I installed 4 of them in different buildings. My house, 2 apartment houses and my sons house.

every time I installed one, I saw about a 30% reduction in fuel use the following year…

so, I was wondering what the best replacement unit might be.

i am loathe to give up outdoor reset, dhw priority, and boiler post purge…

My wife likes the outside temp reading on the thermostat. I do not need setback thermometers because my wife hates setback and is home all of the time.

any suggestions as to what to consider for a replacement?

You may want to look into the Tekmar product line.

" but the brains are fried " Another option if you know someone that repairs electronics, depending on the actual issue it would not surprise me if less than $10.00 in parts (capacitors) would bring it back to life.

Looks like this is the recommended replacement, although no LCD display, not sure what other features it is missing compared to your version.

The one @109A_5 posted is the correct replacement. Looks like the same thing.
