Mini split minimum line set length

Setting up to install a Daikin minisplit and I thought this comment in the manual was interesting. I thought the minimum lineset lengths had to do with charge and performance, not noise? So essentially, if you don't care about noise / vibration, then 5 feet is perfectly acceptable?
Single pipe 392sqft system with an EG-40 rated for 325sqft and it's silent and balanced at all times.

correct
years ago, we didn’t know about this general theory. And then one of the reps chimed in and says “minimum length for multi zones”.
Technically, there’s a minimum for single zones, too, but we have never, ever had noise on a single zone. Actually, we did one job many years ago, basement install. We hung the wall unit, poked the whip through the wall, and flared right onto the outdoor unit. It was semi, comical, but it worked.
When we install Multis, and the bedroom is close, we tend to roll the line set under the heat pump unit to get the 15 feet1 -
To add; They also want the extra coil laying to avoid traps ..
