Not calling for heat for hot water zone only
I have a Weil-Mclain HE II with a newly installed control board (model 1013-200). I have a separate water storage tank fed by the boiler. I have no hot water, and the boiler is not calling for heat. It WILL call for heat if a room thermostat is turned up for the baseboard heaters. I replaced the temperature sensor in the water tank. I can hear the zone valve open when I jump the temp sensor wires, and the circulator pump comes on. I've cleaned up wire connections that look bad and replaced a section of the temperature sensor wire. I replaced the control board as i stated earlier because it seemed the only piece left actually communicating with the boiler. The problem seemed solved for a few couple days, then no heat again. Any thoughts?

did yo check the end switch on the zone valve? does that call the boiler?

Sounds like a bad zone valve end switch. Did the control board work on a call for heat from a Central heat zone? Seems like an expensive place to start. The zone valve actuator might be a little less expensive.
What is the thermostat for the water heater connected to? Directly to a zone valve, or is it connected to a zone control panel like the Erie Zone Control. Taco ZVC or some other device that is between the thermostat and zone valve?

After you make that expensive repair and you still have the same problem, What will you check next?
