Lil things mean alot...

When I repiped this the old boiler drain was buried halfway under the lift blocks...essentially useless. It's alot easier to access boiler drain and flush wet returns now! A little "Value Engineering" as we go. Mad Dog

It makes me good when I run in to other plumbers whom I respect that compliment me on things just like that. I just recently had an older guy than I who happens to be servicing an Old Gold Coast Estate I used to. They have a full length 125 yr old mahogany bar in the basement with Hand-soldered copper bar sinks and Bay-Marie.
I had repiped it all about 20 yrs ago & left clean out tees out the wazoo...he said it made his snaking job super easy and saved the HO alot of money. Mad Dog

I also always try to use Tees rather than 90s on all tappings in to the boiler -below the water line and at each turn to facilitate the Mad Dog Powerflush! Mad Dog

I prefer a bushing even though heel tees look better so I can get a snake through AND if I ever have to pull a HW zone or indirect water heater off the boiler, volume is not an issue. Mad Dog

I have found as many of us have, that new installations will have the bare minimum installed without a concern for future service. However, when a service company does the job, the installation gets a service company install.
@Mad Dog_2 👍️ Nice job.
