How to control two zones on circulators and 4 zones on valves?

I currently have 6 zones on zone valves with one main circulator. 4 of the zones are are heat emitters and 2 of the zones are each to an indirect hot water heater (its a duplex) I want to put each of the two indirect tanks on their own circulator so I would have 2 zones on circulators with priority and 4 zones on valves plus my main circulator. What is the best way to control this?

pictures of everything would be helpful but

You would need to add seperate relays for each in direct since I’m assuming they are piped to separate systems

Using a two zone circulator relay to power the pumps to the indirects, use the end switch in the relay to cut power to the zone valves transformer …

There was an error rendering this rich post.

Priority on a DHW tank assumes that only one tank is in play and that the water heater demand will be about 30 minutes maximum. With two families that have the ability to take the 30 minutes at different times, there may be a full hour where the priority may cause there to be no heat into the space heating zones for an hour, and this may cause the space heating temperature to drop more than acceptable.

I'm not sure this is the best idea. Perhaps you need to size the boiler large enough for the total heating plus DHW load. Or something in between.

The actual fix would be to have a priority setup with a 30 minute timer that will allow space heating if the DHW priority lasted longer then 30 minutes.

I can draw that diagram if you need one.

After you make that expensive repair and you still have the same problem, What will you check next?
