Overnight ignition failure

I’m remote troubleshooting my daughter’s Goodman gas furnace. Two days ago she woke up to a running blower motor and an inside temp of 57! I directed her to the unit in the attic and told her to turn the light switch to the opposite position to confirm it was in the correct position. That switched the blower motor off confirming the correct position. When she switched it on the blower motor ran again but within a few seconds she said it got louder. I asked if it made a whooshing sound and she confirmed it did. That was the flame ignition. It ran fine the rest of the day and yesterday but today she woke to the same issue and got the flame to ignite by again cycling the power switch! The intermittent and overnight only character of the problem has me stumped. I realize the overnight aspect could be a coincidence but I’m not sure it is. Any thoughts?

How is the air filter? When was it serviced last?
Other than the air filter, the first culprit could be a dirty flame sensor, that can give you intermittent operation.

Usually if the high limit trips it will cause just the blower to run. What is causing the high limit to trip?

Its likely just the Flame Sensor, but it needs to be checked by a pro. If it's a 90+% and horizontal, there could be drain issues. Could be gas pressure. Even if it's not high efficiency, it's got an induced draft motor. Could be that. Do you know how old it is?
