Vitodens 100- normal operating sound?

Hi everyone, I’m looking for some feedback.
I had my vitodens 100 combi boiler serviced and it’s running louder than it used to. The serviceman said it’s normal but it wasn’t this loud before he serviced it. He replaced the igniter, cleaned the exchanger and flushed the lines. He said there was some air in the lines and should be more efficient now. There are no error codes and it is heating normally, it’s just louder than normal. Should I be concerned with this?

I put it up on YouTube to listen.

Thanks in advance.

Hi, we are having the same sound on a vitodens 100W B1KE-120. It happens briefly (30-45 seconds or so) a three or four times a day. (It's hard to know exactly how often.) Like you, there is no error code and everything seems to be running smoothly. We are in an apartment small enough that when it makes this noise at night it's loud enough to wake us up, even though the boiler is in a closet. It would be great to know what is causing it….

  • The cover of the boiler muffles a lot of the sound. Can you tell if the cover is properly seated without any gaps?

I'm not as expert as some but I have installed a half dozen 100s and serviced a few. That is not a normal sound. That's not even normal with the cover off. Sounds like something restricting the air intake? deserves investigation.

Such a weird low pitch, doesn't sound like a bearing or shaft. Really weird
