Taco 007e question

Hello, i have a hydronic system in my home, with 4 Taco 007-F5 circulators. I have 2 questions for the contributors here, I see a TACO rep is monitoring and replying to this thread. One of my main circulators that powers 4 critical zones two stories up, went out , a -10F at nights, all week long , so i rushed to my local supply house and all they had on the shelf was the 007e smart unit, they said it was a 1:1 drop in. So I bought it. I am a reasonbly adept 1:1 replacement DIYer, I successfully installed the 007e. It seems to be working as advertised this past month. However, reading the cut sheets to put a few more on my shelf for spares, of the 007e, it says a "16 GPM max flow rate", and the 007-F5 cut sheet says "23 GPM max flow rate".
- Did I just install a 007e unit that delivers 30% less GPM to my critical zones? I don't really care about saving electricity, i need to keep this house warm in the Dec-March months at 8,000 feet elevation.
- Can i keep the "dumb iron" flanged Cast Iron body of the legacy 007-005 inline and intact , and just swap out/install the "smart" module of the 007e with the 4 screws and the associated o-ring gasket? Will that swap out still give the same GPM and pressure curve performance? Reason: I don't want to monkey with the flange bolts, gaskets , and loosen the copper piping braces if i dont have to — its not leaking now, i dont want to risk it. The 4 bolt swap out is brilliant. but not sure if i can mix/match.
Thanks! TK

I still remember sitting in a Taco class almost 20 years ago when they said that the 007 is the most mis-applied circulator in the world. It is almost always oversized for what it really needs to do.
