We'll be at Keke's Breakfast Cafe, 7512 Dr Phillips Blvd, Orlando–a 3 mile Uber from the convention center.

If you need info or are looking for us call or text me at the show at 401-439-7877

our informal nohost breakfast for Wally's and Industry partners is in its 3rd year and, as informal a guy as I am, I've been thinking to give it a little more of an identity. TTS is the first thing that came to mind, as in Techs Talking Sh&t. But then a more uplifting thought that tracks a principle I would like to see more inculcated in these events came to me: LIFT–Listen to Field Techs.

IF anybody with their finger on the pulse of R&D and regulation were to listen to me they'd find out that personally I want to Make America Cool Again, possibly by increasing flammable refrigerant charge limits. But I'm sure that every tech on the wall, and across the country, has their own pet projects and pet peeves that, if addressed, would improve our work lives, improve reliability of HVAC equipment and improve consumer satisfaction.

If HVAC is as important as policymakers make it out to be, they can't accomplish what they are out to without the cooperation of field techs, and we almost literally can't operate without better cooperation from regulators and industry. Instead we get handed marching orders year after year–read out to us in the sessions at the expo without the least embarrassment that the new orders countermand the previous ones. The villains of the moment were CFCs , then HCFCs, now HFCs. I don't believe the current top down model is sustainable to provide the level and quality of installations we're talking about. And I like Breakfast!

Our business cards come in small, medium, large and extra and I'll have 'em with me at the show and at breakfast. So find me, or I'll find you. Brian
