Auto water feed - borked up brass valve?

Ok. Bit of an issue here. My old water feeder had not been working for the fast few years, so I tried to fix it. Cleaned out the strainer. Replaced the rubber water flow diaphragm. Thought the solonoid went bad. So I picked up a snazzy new VXT-24. Wired it all up. Still no water feeding when I press the feed button. Seems to operate properly, and it is wired correctly.
I kept the old brass fitting from the unimatch. Because replacing that would be complicated. The brass facing for the rubber diaphragm looked clean enough.... It didnt seem corroded...
Could the issue be that valve itself? Or just below it? The manual feed lever that bypasses the auto feed works just fine.
The water feeds into the boiler at the wet return lowest point. It wouldnt be a pressure issue right? (I did have some work done on my house several years ago, which added a water loop for one upstairs hot water radiator to heat an addition).

The feed valve from the Unimatch is different from the one for the VXT. Mix and match doesn't cut it. Install the thing properly.

The brass fittings look identical, and my understanding from other posts on this forum is that the Unimatch and VXT use the same fitting.
I likely have setiment blocking it up. I will see if there is any way to clean it out without having to remove it. Headed out on vacation later this week, so wanted to get it up and running before then, but I did not anticipate having to replace the brass fitting just yet …

I sealed the face of the brass fitting so that water SHOULD run thru it if it worked. It did not... So looks like the bottom part of the fitting is plugged up. No way to easily clean that out, given the right angle turn at the back. So looks like I need to replace that fitting. Ugh. Oh well.

I you have an air compressor, you can remove the filter, taking it apart and fiddle with blowing air through it.
