I wish you a lot of luck.

Adams equipment and support is by far the worst in the industry.

I service a 1997 Adams Speedflame burner and have had pretty good luck with it.

We need pictures and Model number.

How far thru the start sequence does it get?

I had a Real Bad experience with Adams. We bought an oil fired furnace from them 6 or 7 years ago. When we got it installed it was pressurizing the combustion chamber.

Turns out when they welded the heat exchanger they "forgot" a piece of metal so it acted just like a bd HX. Indoor blower pressurizing fire box.

Had to disconnect the entire furnace, ductwork, burner, electric, oil, and flue and take it down. Overhead furnace 15' up.

Once on the ground replaced the HX. The factory brough it out from Cleveland. Then re install the furnace.

On start up with the New HX the stack temp was over 700 deg, Co2, C0 and smoke ok.

Factory said it was ok I say its not.

My boss overruled me, so it stayed. I cut the nozzle one size and retested.

Left a bad taste in my mouth from anything Adams. Our company also had installed some Adams condensing oil fired furnaces prior to this on another job. They never worked and had to be ripped out.

Guess my old boss likes pain.

Their furnaces are dubious, but I thought their burners were okay. Hurst specs them.

Trying to squeeze the best out of a Weil-McLain JB-5 running a 1912 1 pipe system.

That 1997 burner I mentioned has required a new blower motor, HW Flameguard control, flame sensor and spark ignitor.

Not bad for the 27 years in service.

They always answered the phone and even returned calls.

Sent out the install and service manual to me when requested.

Is the OP still around???? Pictures???
