Does everyone go to the AHR show? We should meet there.

I really enjoyed meeting at the last event in new york that @Erin Holohan Haskell arranged pre covid. Next year, the air show is in Vegas. Maybe we could have us meet there one evening for a drink or morning for breakfast

Did Archibald Tuttle pick a spot for the AHR yearly "Eating and Cooling" breakfast?

funny, just getting a post ready for this. but Ray, what are you waiting for Vegas for, they make breakfast in Florida you know!

The Eating and Cooling Breakfast will be 8 AM Tuesday, Feb 11 at Kekes Cafe, 8512 Dr Phillips Blvd, Orlando

(3 mile Uber from the Expo. I always just look for the coolest breakfast spot I can find that isn't in the next county. They seemed to have a little diner panache and were really nice when I called and said I might be bring a dozen guys. in 2 below in chicago in the middle of an ice storm because it rained before it got cold last year had the best breakfast in chicago with 3 of us so i'm really thinking big for the warm weather).

I started this as an informal get together for Wallys in Atlanta. Maybe, if my contrarian bull in the china shop approach to policy isn't too intransigent or offputting, we can gain a more formal Heatinghelp association because the Wall is, hands down, the best professional trade forum on the web that creates a civil environment without a lot of thresholds to entry so we can ruminate principally as hands on techs on micro and macro HVAC problems but include corporate and consumer side folks seamlessly. For now, Eating and Cooling breakfast continues as an informal nohost affair.

Well it's hosted by the emphemeral patron saint of hvac technicians, archibald 'harry' tuttle. this year I'm pretending to institutional status and this will be the LIFToff: LIsten to Field Techs. I have yet to create the website but it will be at www.lift.cool (too cool for fridge heads that there is that domain now!). I want to encourage more of a two way dialogue on regulation and design rather than just the top down marching orders model we've been on in this industry (some companies excepted who bring in some of the best people from the field, even if field recs don't always show up in the products. for years I've been campaigning for multi-zone relay manufacturers to put switches, even dip switches, for on-off-control function for each zone on the relay but unless i'm surprised by new products, I've been unsuccessful. so this year I thought I'd take on a much easier target, EPA)

and as i've admitted elsewhere, my initial project as the skunk at the garden party in this year's refrigeration seminars is to blow up refrigeration regulation . . . well metaphorically. but the breakfast is not to proselytize or imply endorsement or that undertaking to , it is just to get together to shoot the shirt, and I got the shirts.

I'll have em with me to give, in the aisles and at breakfast if you don't mind the stirring the pot by wearing one (or if it would blow too many minds you can frame it :-). as you might guess, this is strictly a quixotic effort with no sponsors and me buying leftover shirts and running the screen press with my friend so not shilling for anyone, just chillin and hope you can join us.
