Ecobee, Tekmar, AWHP coordination

Just commissioned my Chiltrix CX-50 heat pump with Tekmar 303V zone controller. System is running three radiant zones with a single 15-58 pump.

For the time being I am just operating one zone off of a two wire thermostat. The goal is to use three Ecobee thermostats (mounted near the zone controller) with remote sensors placed in each of the three zones.

I have attached a proposed schematic and photo. Hoping for advice on whether I'm approaching this correctly….

Do my proposed connections seem right?

Are dip switches set correctly?

My understanding is that -since the heat pump has its own controller- there are no connections from heat pump to zone controller required. The heat pump will operate based on its own monitoring of inlet and outlet temps as compared to target heat.

Do I need Ecobee Power Extender Kits for each zone, or a separate 24V transformer? Or does the Tekmar handle this?

Thanks in advance!

As long as the power for the zone valves is bellow the VA of the Tekmar transformer, you don't need anything else.

Depends on how you have it plumbed but generally the heat pump does not need control. If you are doing DWH heat, you might need to disable the zone pump during hot water call.

In terms of efficiency, might be good to pick one of the colder zones and keep it always on, essentially the temperature there would be set by the outdoor reset. This puts a base load on the AWHP which keeps it from cycling.
