Well pump issues.

Water was pouting out of the snifter and pump never shut off.

I replaced the snifter. Pump still running

So I replaced the pressure switch. No change tank is full. Pressure is great, but the pressure gauge never gets all the way up hangs at about 48 out of 50.

Also very slow filling, and ticking noise.

    Is this a jet pump? If so you probably have a plugged jet.

    So… what type of pump, tank and pressure switch do you have?

    If the Pitless adapter is a plastic type, they can crack and leak. Does it hold pressure when shut off ?
