Loss of radiant heat efficiency
1875 Italianate. We had wirsbo hydronic radiant heat installed on the first floor 15 years ago. Propane munchkin boiler.
When we first installed the system, it would keep the house toasty, but through the years, it's lost its efficiency. To the point now to where it can't maintain selected heat.
Now certainly the low Temps are a significant factor. But it didn't used to have the problem of not being able to get to 68°.
My question is, does the system clog up? Can it be reverse flushed? Is it the manifolds that are the restriction?
I have checked, and wirsbo has changed their manifold, so parts are no longer available for our style.

are these screens in the balancing valves? Things like that can clog with iron "bits" if there's something ferrous in the system.
Has the system been bled of air recently?

Is there a makeup water connection? Has the boiler ever been cleaned or system flushed? There are a lot of possibilities here
