my home was built in 2006, and has a triangle tube boiler. However, the has been a vacation home for the past 16 years and has only been lived in for three or five months per year. If properly serviced, how many years can I my boiler system?

15- 20 is possible. Too many variables to predict.

Some brands and models have cycle counters in the control. It would give you an idea of how many "miles" it actually has on it. An installation/ operation manual would tell you how to access that menu.

Excessive on off cycles takes out the electronics and electro mechanical parts. Bad water quality, inadequate flow can take out the water side heat exchanger.

A temperature alarm might be a wise investment for a vacation home. Many of the wifi thermostats can notify you of a low temperature condition also.

I have a simple Ecobee digital thermostat and it keeps me informed of what is going on with my shop system.
