Updating baseboard hydronic pt 2

A week or so ago I posted a question about updating my baseboards. Again, I'm a homeowner, not a contractor.

As I looked around in the basement I found something I'm curious about: There is a single water loop around the basement, with tees going up and down to the baseboard units. From what I've looked up, these are directional tees that are supposed to divert water up to the units. Would I get more heat in the rooms if these were removed and the pipe just went from baseboard to baseboard in a more-or-less circle (up to one, back down to the basement then up to the next)? What is the advantage of the tees?

First, if you just removed the "directional" tees and replaced them with plain tees, the water would flow around the loop and none of the baseboards would heat. Water will flow where there is the least restriction.

If you removed the tees and plumbed the baseboards "in series" i.e. out of one baseboard then into the next, the first baseboard would be hot, the next cooler (and you've withdrawn heat from the first baseboard) the next cooler still and so on.

So no, removing the directional tees (commonly called Monoflo tees) would not be a good idea without a serious system re-do. (adding a reverse return for example)

Its a Monoflow system and nothing wrong with them. If you get radiation that will not heat you could have air in the system.

You can't disconnect the monoflow tees without repiping the entire job so you dont want to do that.

Post what your problem is if any with pictures.

Cleaning the basebord fins and making sure the dampers if any are open and nothing blocking the air in and out will help
