As I continue to educate myself I have watched a number of installation videos for combi boilers. I see that a prefabricated S&R manifold is often used. I am trying to understand how these work as they seem to mix the S&R. Or is there internal divider?
Thanks !

It's called hydraulic separation and it allows the boiler flow to be independent of the system flow. There is some mixing and bidirectional flow, but that's of no consequence. The method used can vary and the only reason anybody really uses the prefab manifolds is to save time.
