Anyone know how old this old boiler is
I only lived here 3 years. I know it’s old. The circ pump just went on it. I have a quote to replace it. That seems fair however my question is it worth even fixing ? The tech said he thinks it’s over 40 years old. Just really don’t want to dump 500$ into it if it’s going to keep giving me issues

No reason to replace it until it leaks. that could be 30 years from now or tomorrow. It will eventually leak and then it will need to be replaced but that can happen after 15 years or 80. as long as it is in decent shape there is no reason not to make minor repairs like replacing the circulator. that 3 piece circulator can probably be replaced with a wet rotor circulator. It is probably from about the 70's, others can probably pin it down more precisely.

I would consider a boiler and a circulator as two very independent issues and should be treated as such repairing/replacing one does not define repairing/replacing the other.
You probably won't get the same life span out of a new boiler, and you will add new high tech issues to your life. The control and support equipment on your old boiler is simple and easy to troubleshoot and repair.
