Munchkin T80 F01 error
I have a F01 error on my Munchkin that I cannot seem to cure by resetting. From what I have read this is unlikely something I can fix myself…. but I thought I would ask here nonetheless. I’ve checked the flue isn’t blocked and also the condensate line. I was able to reset yesterday but today it just keeps flipping back to F01.
Any suggestions?
I’ve already emailed and called the maintenance company I used last time but unfortunately they’re out until the new year. (I’m in the Bay Area / Menlo park area).
Thanks, John

F01 is a flue temperature limit fault, indicating that the flue pipe is overheating. The first thing I would want to know is when was the last time someone performed a complete maintenance on the boiler and removed the burner and combustion fan motor and cleaned the heat exchanger? A combustion analysis with a digital combustion analyzer should have been performed with the boiler running in minimum and maximum firing rates and the measurements compared against the manufacturers specifications.
If the flue pipe temperature is high that means heat transfer is poor, likely due to the heat exchanger being filthy from lack of maintenance or improper servicing.
