How to manually check pressure on hot water boiler

I have a Weil McLain hot water boiler system. I'm curious if there is a way to double check the pressure to ensure the gauge attached to the boiler is functioning properly. Is there a simple device I can purchase to manually check the pressure so I can compare that reading to the one on the machine? Thanks.

    I cobbled one together with a 30 psi gauge, a brass coupler and a hose to 1/4 fitting. Just screw it onto a purge valve to check.
