Steam boiler tripping rollout switch

Have a steam boiler. It had a crack above the waterline that we sealed and it was limping along all last winter.

Today it tripped two rollout switches. Thinking it may be done.

Have read a bit on here and the only other thing I can think is that we put a door to the basement (it was previously open to the kitchen) and wondering if this somehow caused an issue. But even then, the boiler ran for almost two months with the new door (Nov and most of Dec)

So, question is, any recommendations for steam boiler service / replacement in Westchester NY (just north of NYC)?

Plugged up heat exchanger, flue, chimney, damper issue ? Gas pressure to the manifold too high.

Is it still an issue with the door open ?

This is a serious safety issue. I know it's freezing right now, but I would watch this boiler very closely until it can be assessed. Get the house warm, but don't go out and leave it unattended. Mad Dog

thanks everyone! @EzzyT gave you a call. I didn’t get a chance to run it with door open as it tripped and I don’t have an extra switch.

Pretty sure it’s a draft or overheating issue as it runs with the switch bypassed.

We abandoned ship last night after the second roll out tripped. But thanks for the safety warnings everyone.
