I have a question about the use of a gasket or O ring on the Riello burner
I am doing the maintenance on this burner for the first time so not too familiar with it
I bought a strainer and gasket that I thought was the correct one for this burner it says replaces 3005719 It comes with an O ring and a gasket Does it matter which one I use ?

Not really. I've used one or the other without any problems. I've seen them both installed together without issues. I prefer to use just the O ring. What was installed in the oil pump previously?

I used to always use the gasket. Now I use the O-Ring. Either one. But not both, which I've seen numerous times.
