Old Peerless Oil Burner

need help identifying model and how to service. Model looks old… Homeowner been paying someone to service but doesnt look like its ever been cleaned. Want to know where to get parts and find a manual if possible.

    That burner is probably a standard Beckett AF, which uses standard parts. Unfortunately, the JO series boilers had a lot of back pressure in their flue passages, so many of these have been upgraded to Beckett AFG or NX or sometimes Riello burners, whose fans can produce more static pressure.

    Lynn Products makes replacement firebox kits for these, which you can get through R.E. Michel or Sid Harvey.

    Think the ' 84 JOT had the issue , extra cast on the lip before the expansion chamber . Peerless pushed for the numbers …

    Boiler looks good you can't do that much better with the lack of space. I would recommend to replace the oil burner and oil line . Looks like 1980 boiler with a original OEM burner, 40 years running … The bare copper oil line will leak , run a new contained oil line… Also repair any steam leaks to prevent the system from rotting out … Keep flushing the low water cut off ….
