I have checked the plug, it has power. Nothing lights up or responds to any of the buttons on the top of the unit. No error code. There is no evidence of rodent damage. I took out the filter and it had some stuff on it but not nearly blocked. Propane tank 3/4s full. Seldom used. Any ideas?

check the fuse on the pc board

Test the transformer leads, ohms and voltage

The Rinnai website has the direct vent manual that will give you the ohms and voltages for the transformer.

Did you have any power spikes or did you just notice the control panel was out?

Could just be some loose connection.

    Hello Zippittyay,

You can check the fuse, I would. However if I had to guess a capacitor in the standby power supply circuit has failed making it inoperable.
