I have a TekmarNet 4 Thermostat 538 that has suddenly started to read the wrong air temperature. The room is easily 65-70 F, yet the screen is reading 33 F. This is now sending a demand for heat all the time. Second possible related problem is the Tekmar 423 unit is flashing a warning message but there is no code associated with it.
What steps should I do to isolate the problem? I think they both maybe related but the problem is with the Thermostat.
Suggestions? Thanks for any and all help.

Maybe a bad sensor in the Tekmar unless it was mounted on a outdoor wall ….
