White Roger 1311-102 zone valve help

Having problems with the motor on the valve. It's very old and I need to tap it slightly to make the motor move. Wires are tight. I would like to change just the motor and the spec sheet form White rogers states you can remove the motor without draining the system but I see absolutely no where any information on how or what I need to do to remove it! Any help appreciated!

see the two hex bolts under the galvanized steel plate. With the motor off make sure the knurled wheel turns round and round easily. If not you need to drain down and replace the entire plate with spool.
