Sarco H 1/2" Radiator Trap Cap Size and Removal

The apartment building I am working in has 60-year-old Sarco H 1/2" steam traps, about 200 units. I would like to use an impact wrench to remove the caps instead of using a monkey wrench and possibly damaging the cap. Does anyone know what the size of the eight-sided cap is? I have been to HF to find an impact socket or an open-end wrench, which may fit, but to no avail. Any ideas would be appreciated.
