Tub shower valve ID

One of our new customers just moved into town, the house was flipped by a flipper. Unfortunately, a knucklehead got involved and put Delta trim on top of this unknown valve body. Does anybody recognize what brand this is so I can get him the correct trim? The current set up is useless, handle just spins. It’s probably a big box special.

It does seem to have service stops which I wouldn't expect in a house brand products exclusively for those who don't know any better and those who don't care at all.

Yes, frankly- I never touch those, I always go to the main house shut off. With my luck, they would start dripping!

With that shark bite fitting buried behind the wall he is probably better off starting over with something of quality.

Yes, it doesn't offend me that badly. If the valve works, it can stay. Hacking that tile apart looks brutal.

Looks like you're going to need half a tile for the trim to cover the hole

For showers I built, I use Kohler valve with replaceable cartridge but what happens when the cartridge is no longer available? Time for new shower if valve is in an inaccessible wall.
I notice a lot of European bathroom utilize a configuration that looks like US commercial valves with hot/cold 1/2” mpt at 8” spacing that allows for replacement of complete valve and spray assemblies without any change to internal wall plumbing. I can definitely see the advantage.
