Boiler short cycling at random (sometimes it works fine for hours)

Weil Mclain WGO4 with Carlin Pro EZ1 burner/70200 controller short cycles at random. No faults but noticed that the it stops (short cycles) due to "high ohms". Its random and sometimes it will heat the house whereas at other times it will struggle to stay on for even 1 seconds.

I have changed the oil filter, checked the thermostats and cleaned the nozzle assembly to no avail. Any suggestions on the potential cause and remedy for this short cycling behavior?

The high ohms reading indicates the burner is out of adjustment. Only an oil service professional will have the tools and instruments needed to properly tune the burner.

A service agreement with a reputable company would be wise.

Thank you! Scheduled an appointment for a vendor for next Monday. Hoping it doesn't completely stop working so that we don't even have hot water.
