in Oil Heating
2 Story home with basement. Want to add heat in basement. 1st & 2nd floor diverter tees (Monoflow) are 1" x 1/2". Do i need to use 1" x 3/4" to go down to baseboards in basement as well as diverter tee's on the down and up in the main line?

What type of emitters are existing in the house? Are the baseboards you are adding copper fin tube? There are a lot of ways that modifying the existing monoflo system can throw it out of balance.
