Well — now that an X Pump Block has become a $2,600 part — I am more curious about repair options. In the past I have been able to buy replacement pumps, but those do not sem so easy to source any more.
It appears there are essentially just a pair of 008 circs on board. Can one simply replace the cartridges?
Thanks!

I believe so as I remember taking one apart years ago. My goodness, I haven’t priced one recently. Time to DIY.
8.33 lbs./gal. x 60 min./hr. x 20°ΔT = 10,000 BTU's/hour

Looks like they offer cartridge replacements for them. 008 bronze/stainless cartridges are a couple hundred bucks on publicly available supply house pricing. cost makes at least some sense when you consider it is 2 bronze 008 pumps all the piping done, heat exchanger and control. Definitely costs less in material to build it yourself!
