Steam baseboard valve

I have a small valve that was on my steam baseboard radiator on the end bottom of it. It was leaking when I test ran it so I am trying to replace it or just plug the fitting. I am including pictures to give you a better idea. Thanks for any help.

You can just put a npt pipe plug in there, i think that is 1/8". I'd use brass. The fact that that exists would seem to indicate they have problems with the condensate returning.
