Haveold viking coal powered now gas boiler

Idrain expansion tank every year

Noticedpressure was at 10psi usually at 16 when not being used

Idrained full systemfrom bottom of boiler drain

Question is

If water supply is on and the drain tap at boiler is open the drain should have flowing water out until water supply is shut off?

Ifno water is coming out of drain tap with water not shut off its the water being blocked at PRV?there is 2 in live one at 10 and 12

    PRV could be plugged, or the drain valve could be plugged. Check the drain first. You can push a wire or a nylon cable ty through it. PRV may need replacing or strainer could be plugged.
