In watching and reading Dan Holohan, it seems our boiler is not piped correctly. Even looking at the 90 degree fitting on the right it looks like it failed at one point.

Would you re-pipe this boiler?

    Yes! Not only is the order of riser connections to the header wrong, but the header is 2" and I believe it should be 3". Check the manual.

    One would think basic literacy would be required in our business, but apparently some don't agree……..

    Not liking the flue piping either.

    @pjyorks If properly piped, that system should heat quickly, evenly and quietly. Piped as it is, I would expect gurgling, hammering, slow and uneven heating and water spitting from air vents. How does it perform?

    And I don't think the Hartford Loop should be sleeping… if that's supposed to be a Hartford Loop.
