Hot water not working after forced power reduction.
I have 2 Vaughn electric water heaters. We returned from vacation to warm water. I was able to identify that the power was being reduced because of peak management.
This morning 1 water heater is working normal.
The problem is that instead of reading 5125 elec it is reading 5.255 err.
Any suggestions would be awesome. Thanks

Are you able to find that error code in the product documentation?
Got WiFi? Have you tried rebooting the water heater? Sounds silly, but that's what you have. A flaky computer, not a simple water heater.

thanks. Yes. Tried to restart idea a few times. I couldn’t find anything on the library you shared. It says mine is an ME80 model.

I found your water heater:
Ironic that your "Grid Enabled" WH is disabled.
I would call your local electric utility. They have techs and linemen working 24-7-365. Years ago my brother had an early version of a grid enabled central home AC. One day his AC didn't work. So he called the Electric Utility. Tech came out right away. Turns out the problem was with the AC and had nothing to do with the magic box that was controlled by the mother ship. Tech had the common AC part on his truck, fixed it for no charge.
On your water heater there is no separate magic box. It's part of the water heater.
