Rheem EcoNet App re: "Health"

After our recent install of a 66-gallon, Rheem Hybrid HPWH, the section on the app called "Health" says that there is not a Leak sensor installed or a shut-off valve. Our installer says that everything is installed correctly and the app is wrong. Does anyone else see the following errors under "Health"?

The valve and sensor are an option. Not all tanks have it. You can buy it as a kit if you want it.

I opted not to have one. My tank is installed in my basement laundry room with a pan and drain pipe going towards the floor drain. A leak would still produce a visible stream going from that drain pipe to the floor drain but would harmlessly flow down the floor drain. I doubt a full 12 hours would pass before it would be noticed with how much laundry we do. For a tank on a main floor where a leak might cause catastrophic damages it might not be a bad idea.

I believe this is the correct one, contact rheem to verify.

Thanks @JakeCK . So I would have to purchase both separately? The sensor and valve are not automatically included with the new HPWH unit?

It depends on which model of the proterra you have. But from the sounds of it you got one that did not come with that option. You can purchase it separately. I cannot tell you myself what options your tank has. Call rheem, both to find out if that particular tank was supposed to have those and if not the exact parts number to purchase to add it.
